Chesterfield Mayor receives historical marker Chesterfield Mayor John Nations, right, at a recent City Council meeting accepts a framed copy of a historical marker recently placed on the campus of Wild Horse Elementary School and identifying the location where Justus Post platted and named the original 19th-century town of Chesterfield. Presenting the marker were Dan Rothwell, corresponding secretary of the Chesterfield Historical Commission; Charlotte Boyd, president of the Margaret Wyatt Allyn Chapter of the National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century; and Christina Landram, Chesterfield Historical Commission member. |
