Annual event to highlight organization's 30 years of service By Rebecca Zoll
This year, North County Inc. celebrates our 30th year of service to the North County community. We started the year off with the successful legislative reception for North County. This was a collaborative event we hosted with the Florissant Valley, Northwest and North County chambers of commerce this past month that allowed business, civic and community leaders to meet with state officials and discuss matters concerning our community.
Christian Hospital held the event on their campus and did an outstanding job of making this event fantastic. Sens. Joan Bray and Rita Days and Reps. Tony George, Gina Walsh, Clint Zweifel and Jake Zimmerman discussed legislation on health care, economic development, predatory lending practices and more. We thank these leaders for taking time to meet with North County's community and business leadership.
As we wrapped up one event, we began planning the next event, our 30th Annual Breakfast. This year, we will celebrate 30 years of service by looking at our history and accomplishments and honoring others that have served North County for 30 years or more.
We do need the community's help with this, as we are trying to identify all businesses and civic and community organizations that have been in North County for at least 30 years. If you fit these criteria, please let us know about your company or organization; visit http://www.NorthStLouisCounty.com, then click on the "30 Years of Service" banner. Or send an e-mail to nci@northcountyinc.com, and we will send you a form.
We encourage anyone interested in the community they live in to join us at this year's Annual Breakfast, which more than 500 residents and North County leaders attend each year. This is a great networking opportunity and a good way to meet others working to keep our community strong.
North County Inc.'s 30th Annual Breakfast will be at 7:30 a.m. May 4 at the St. Louis Airport Marriott. Reservations are required and can be made at our Web site or by calling 895-6241.
